  • From Jerry Reeves on Note from Jean Reno

We were sad to hear that Jean is having health problems and can no longer serve as president of PRMO. It is a difficult job with lots of organizational skills required and infinite patience dealing with all the differing personalities. We appreciate all that you did for us trying to improve and maintain our roads.
Thank you! Jerry and Sally Reeves

  • From Mitchell Peterson on Update on our Road Situation

Could we use some of the funds to change the speed limit signs from 25 to 15? The signs were installed privately but a home owner several years ago. I have spoken to Craig Brown about this. He said we as homeowners set the speed limit, not the county

    • From Jean Reno on Update on our Road Situation

If anyone wants to post a 15 mph speed sign on their property, they are free to do so, but the funds we have are purposed for road maintenance/repairs. Perhaps take up a collection just for signs? I’d be willing to donate for that purpose.

      Thanks!

    • From Jean Reno on Road Update

Charged to Paulden Roads Maintenance Organization $2,470.61:

      Grading $1100.00
      Aggregate $1070.61
      Delivery of Aggregate $300.00

Those who worked on spreading the aggregate donated their time, wear and tear on tractors, and diesel fuel to run them. We had just under $2600 in the Treasury, and would not have been able to do the work without this donated tractor work. Many thanks to those who worked on the road!

  • From Jean on Immediate Action Requested - From the Desk of the President

Many thanks to all who have pledged or fulfilled their pledge to pay for the aggregate. We are at almost the halfway point now: $1260 needed, pledges total $625. We are SO close! What we have now in pledges would allow us to purchase about 60 tons of aggregate…enough to lay on ONE of the two bad spots on Mitchell.

The aggregate needs to go down within a couple of days of the grading, so the road doesn’t get torn up again. If we take too long and lose this offer for the grading, it’s going to cost us twice as much to do the repairs on Mitchell. Who wants a smooth road? Anyone else who is willing to pledge???

  • From Jean Reno on Bid Template

Please see comment I left under the Sept 16 meeting post.

We have an offer for 2 households (neither of which live on Mitchell) to underwrite the cost of grading Mitchell, if others will pay for the aggregate…about $40 per parcel along Mitchell. Now we have another person who does not live on Mitchell pledging to put up $40.

Come on, Mitchell residents, step up to the plate, before the people change their mind, and we lose out on a great offer! Who will pledge $40? We can schedule the grading as soon as we get enough pledges to cover the aggregate costs.

I like it, seems comprehensive; add an area at bottom for NOTES by contractor, and have them attach a reference page, with at least 2 refs. and other Statements of Qualifications as a ‘city’ RFG/RFP [request for qualifications/proposals] would require.

  • From Jean Reno on Reminder! Upcoming Meeting Saturday Sept. 16, 2017

We have an offer from two households – neither of which live on Mitchell – to underwrite the cost of grading Mitchell, if others will pay for the materials. 120T of HOA Red costs $810, plus $450 for delivery, for a total of $1260. If each Mitchell property owner chipped in $40, we could get Mitchell done NOW! Who is willing to step up???

  • From Donna Buehring on Initial Road Meeting 8-12-17

We received the proposal from Jose Sanchez trucking.
He was able to put the proposal in 2 sections, 1 for Mitchell ($3,000 plus materials) and 1 for Antelope Run ($1,000 plus materials)

I am forwarding the proposal to Leslie so she can place it on the website but I am also happy to email this proposal to you….just please contact me with your email address.

    NOTES:
1 – He was unable to give an estimate at this time for Antelope Run between Patricia and Naples because of the standing water. When things dry out more, he will give us that proposal.

2 – Antelope Run between Jean’s house and Patricia cannot be worked on because of the curve the road has taken over the years that belong to the 80 acre parcel on the north side. Luckily that section of the road does not need any repairs.

3 – Jose stated that maintenance would be minimal once the roads are done correctly. It will not need more than a blading/scraping qtrly or semi-annual.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

  • From Jock on Initial Road Meeting 8-12-17

WE -living on Antelope Run and Poppy- support an improvement to the roads (esp. our frontage on West A.R.) and want to kick in enough up front to accomplish this. We feel a quick process that does not nec. include major drainage culverts is acceptable, as these roads have a ‘rough character’ by nature and are generally drivable. Any improvement is great, and the idea of a ‘rural’ road of character is fine by us. Let us know what is required!

  • From Jean Reno on Road Update

I would love to see a 15 MPH on our roads. It would greatly cut dust, wash-boarding, and pot-holing on the roads. Unfortunately, in order to have the county post them (the county would then bear the cost, not us; they would also enforce it), we would need to have a majority of the people who live along the road to sign a petition requesting they do so. At our first road meeting, I had such a petition. Only three people signed it.

However, we as individuals CAN post 15 MPH signs at the edge of our property. I plan on doing so on mine. Are the ones you saw on Amazon standard size signs? Is it just the sign, or a kit including the post and bolts? I’d found a place online that had the standard size kits for $40, plus shipping.
