Great job puting this all together! Wr appreciate all the hard work.
Jock says
WE -living on Antelope Run and Poppy- support an improvement to the roads (esp. our frontage on West A.R.) and want to kick in enough up front to accomplish this. We feel a quick process that does not nec. include major drainage culverts is acceptable, as these roads have a ‘rough character’ by nature and are generally drivable. Any improvement is great, and the idea of a ‘rural’ road of character is fine by us. Let us know what is required!

Thank you! We are obtaining bids now.

Thanks for the info…I have forwarded this to Jean.
Jean Reno says
Please keep us posted on when the roadbed dries out enough to work. We’ll need to see how much rock and fill will be needed…as well as not get our equipment stuck! 🙂

I talked to Jose last night 8/21. He is going to put together a quote for the job including maintenance. Not sure how long that will take him but he was going to look at roads today. He said he talked to jean but had the wrong # written down.
If I don’t hear by the end of the week I will follow up.
pauldenroads says
Thanks Jim. Keep us posted.
Donna Buehring says
We received the proposal from Jose Sanchez trucking.
He was able to put the proposal in 2 sections, 1 for Mitchell ($3,000 plus materials) and 1 for Antelope Run ($1,000 plus materials)
I am forwarding the proposal to Leslie so she can place it on the website but I am also happy to email this proposal to you….just please contact me with your email address.
NOTES:
1 – He was unable to give an estimate at this time for Antelope Run between Patricia and Naples because of the standing water. When things dry out more, he will give us that proposal.
2 – Antelope Run between Jean’s house and Patricia cannot be worked on because of the curve the road has taken over the years that belong to the 80 acre parcel on the north side. Luckily that section of the road does not need any repairs.
3 – Jose stated that maintenance would be minimal once the roads are done correctly. It will not need more than a blading/scraping qtrly or semi-annual.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Donald Speer says
Why do you want a trucking company to do heavy equipment road work?
Donna Buehring says
Because he fixed a section of Antelope Run already and is very honest and dependable. He also has the exact equipment that is needed to do the repairs correctly.
